There were two contested races for the May 9 City Council election for Place 3 and Place 5.

The unofficial results, including early voting and all precincts counted, are:

Place 3

• Frank Leffingwell — 930 votes (80 percent)
• Chris Koob — 232 votes (20 percent)

Place 5

• Writ Baese — 745 votes (66 percent)
• Ted G. Meng — 281 votes (25 percent)
• Ellie Andrew — 104 votes (9 percent)
