Round Rock is the ninth most-livable mid-sized city in the U.S. according to a recent study by financial technology company Smart Asset.
The fourth annual ranking analyzed data for 227 cities across multiple metrics, including four-year home value change, median monthly housing costs, poverty rate, median household income, unemployment rate, percentage of residents without health insurance and average commute time.
According to study authors, “SmartAsset crunched the numbers on a variety of financial factors to find the mid-sized cities that are the most livable” to provide those looking for “a more affordable and less crowded alternative to the bustle of a big city.”
Of the ten total Texas cities included in the study, Round Rock was the only community to crack the top ten:
1. Rochester, MN
2. Olathe, KS
3. Overland Park, KS
4. Meridian, ID
5. Centennial, CO
6. Arvada, CO
7. Hillsboro, OR
8. Santa Clara, CA
9. Round Rock, TX
10. Sparks, NV
