The Round Rock Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that occurred Monday morning on I-35.

At approximately 11:40 a.m., officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision on I-35 near RM 620. The crash involved 10 vehicles, including a dump truck, and impacted both northbound and southbound traffic.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a northbound vehicle made a sudden lane change, striking another vehicle and prompting multiple drivers to take evasive action. This chain reaction caused the dump truck to cross the concrete median and collide with southbound traffic.

As a result of the crash, 35-year-old Alexa White of Fort Cavazos was pronounced deceased at the scene. Additionally, three individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
