The Round Rock-Austin-Georgetown MSA has been named the best place to work based on affordability, employment opportunity and quality of life.
The study found that this area is especially appealing to millennials, gen Z and recent college graduates looking for job opportunities. Some of the area’s primary benefits that were listed include: affordable rent prices, offering optimal work-life balance and opportunities for flexible or remote work, following changes from the pandemic.
The Austin area’s tech sector, including Dell Technologies, makes up 17% of all jobs in the area and 9.2% nationally. Outside of work, Round Rock and surrounding cities offer a vibrant community that makes the region a thriving place to live for young professionals. Some unique features to this area include beautiful nature trails, plenty of opportunities to experience live music and music festivals, outdoor activities, restaurants and bars.
