The City of Round Rock’s Rock’N River Water Park was chosen to host the 2018 Central Texas Regional Lifeguard Competition Wednesday, July 18 starting at 8am. The City’s Waterpark venue was nominated by the organization’s local aquatics association Central Texas Aquatics Association (CTTA) to host the event.
Teams from across Texas compete in regional competitions throughout June and July to earn bids to the State Lifeguard Competition. The top 3 finishers in each Regional competition are invited to compete at the State Level. The State Lifeguard Competition is being held on July 30th in College Station.
Lifeguard teams will be traveling to Round Rock for competition on the morning of Wednesday, July 18 starting at 8am. The City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting and facilitating scenarios during the day’s events.
City of Round Rock Lifeguards will have 2 teams competing in the event, along with teams from the University of Texas, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and Kerrville.
