Twenty participants graduated from the City of Round Rock’s citizen education program, UniverCity, at the Dec. 1 City Council meeting.
The 10-week program was created in 2017 to engage and educate residents on the operations of the City. UniverCity participants get to experience firsthand the work it takes to run a city department. Each City department hosts a presentation, tour or break out session each week, and provide valuable information about day to day operations of the City and future projects. Graduates received an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look into City operations within each of its departments.
The following participants received a certification of completion: Heather Lankford, Elisa Perez, Dwaine Poole, Bolden Harris, Kelly Perez, Gwen Hatch, Kerry Moore, Bala Balakrishnan, Kathi Granik, Blanca Gillis, Luisa Anderson, Cassea Hewson, Dennis Pumphrey, Stephanie Smith, Nancy Pumphrey, Julia Nixon, Mark Thornton, Jameela Picas, Shannon Probe and Michael Withrow.
