Travis Audubon Society: Marvels of Migration

The Round Rock Public Library and the Travis Audubon Society proudly present Marvels of Migration from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 23, Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room C, First Floor.

Many birds that pass through Austin are flying long distances to their breeding and wintering grounds. Learn more about these avian athletes and ways to help them on their way.

About the presenter

MaryG Zell is an environmental geologist who worked on cleaning up contaminated soil and groundwater, from gas stations to Superfund sites. When her daughter was born she went back to school to get a second master’s degree in library and information science, and worked as a school librarian for 15 years. Now retired, she can pursue her love of birds. She recently completed the Travis Audubon Master Birder course, and loves speaking about birds. MaryG is also a volunteer at the Children’s Desk at RRPL every Tuesday afternoon.
