Tax Free Weekend – Water Smart Items

Water-saving products are tax free this Memorial Day Weekend!
Transform your home into a Texas Tough and Water-Smart oasis this Memorial Day weekend! Take advantage of tax-free savings on a wide range of water-efficient items, including plants, trees, soaker hoses, irrigation controllers, and more for your outdoor space, as well as water-efficient toilets, showerheads, bathroom faucets, and more for your indoor space. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to upgrade your home and save money!
Eligible Items:
- WaterSense labeled products (toilets, showerheads, bathroom faucets, irrigation controllers and timers, and more)
- soaker or drip irrigation hoses
- plants, trees, and grasses
- soil and compost
- mulch
- rain barrels or alternative rain and moisture collection systems (always tax-exempt in Texas)
- moisture controllers, such as timers for irrigation or sprinkler systems
- water-saving surfactants
Remember, mulch is FREE EVERYDAY for City of Round Rock water customers at our Brush Recycling Center!
