Round Rock Chess Club (ages 8-14) (preregistration)

Chess is not only a fun and engaging pastime, but also an excellent way to develop critical thinking skills, improve concentration, and promote camaraderie among people of all ages and backgrounds. High school student, Abhinav Tanniru, will run this chess program from 2-4 pm in the second-floor program space.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet others and play casual chess games in person. Some chess boards will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants may bring their own chess board, clocks, and notation sheets.

• Registration is required and starts two weeks before the event. Only participating attendees need to register.
• This program is for youth ages 8-14 only.
• Participants must have a basic understanding of the rules and play of chess.
• A seating area will be available for parents and young siblings who wish to observe.
