Introduction to Screenwriting and TV Comedy Writing

The Round Rock Public Library and the San Gabriel Writers’ League are hosting an Introduction to Screenwriting and TV Comedy Writing workshop, from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 16, Meeting Rooms A & B. This free workshop will be taught by industry professionals.

About the instructors

Lindsay Howard is an author, screenwriter, and freelancer with a Bachelor of Arts in English and an MFA in Screenwriting, as well as certifications in Writing for Drama Television, Publishing, and Video Game Writing. Her first screen credits premiered in April, and her first video game credits are also releasing this year. She is currently working on her next game, writing a fantasy novel, and running her editing business, Book & Screen Consulting.

Kevin Kelton is an Emmy-nominated TV writer/producer whose credits include Saturday Night Live, Boy Meets World, Night Court, A Different World and many other network series. He has also penned original pilots for HBO and F/X and screenplays for Warner Bros. and National Lampoon. He currently teaches television writing courses in the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program.
