37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Walk and Celebration

The Round Rock Black History Organization, with participation from the Round Rock Independent School District and support from the City of Round Rock, Round Rock Public Library, Round Rock Parks and Recreation, and Round Rock Police Department presents the 37th annual MLK Walk and Celebration on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 2 to 3:15 p.m.

All are invited to join in the Walk, which will begin at Buck Egger Park, 900 S. Mays Street. Participants should meet in the park at 1 p.m. Walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will end at the First Baptist Church Round Rock (306 Round Rock Avenue). The program will follow the Walk.

A program with speakers and entertainment will be held at the First Baptist Church Round Rock beginning at 2 p.m. The program will feature the Sweet Home Baptist Church Choir, under the direction of Minister James E. Reed III. The program will also include Round Rock ISD’s CD Fulkes Middle School Choir, under the direction of Heather Rosen.
