Dia De Los Muertos Procession and Festival

Celebrate life, family, community and the arts on November 2 in Round Rock

Join Round Rock Ballet Folklorico, along with Williamson County Hispanic Heritage CommitteeCity of Round RockRound Rock Arts, and Univision for the eleventh annual Dia de los Muertos procession and festival, from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at Centennial Plaza, 301 West Bagdad. Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mesoamerican holiday dedicated to the ancestors; it honors both death and the cycle of life.

There will be activities for kids and art, craft and food vendors. Dress up in your finest Calaca, Frida, Selena or Prince apparel.

Dia de los Muertos is a time to celebrate and remember the lives of those who have passed. This year, you can honor loved ones with the Library’s Virtual Altar. Submitted photos will be added to a special slideshow, which will be added to the Library’s website and YouTube channel.

Procession

Our parade to Centennial Plaza begins at 5 p.m. at corner of Round Rock Avenue and N. San Saba Street. The procession will arrive at Centennial Plaza at 5:15 p.m.
