The Clay Madsen Recreation Center offers a variety of after school programs, preschool programs, day camps and sports camps for children of all ages. See below for specific information for each program.
The City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Program is not a licensed child-care program and instead operates under Standards of Care that have been adopted by the Round Rock City Council and can be viewed HERE or requested from the program location.
After School/Pre-school Site Programs
The Kids’ Clubhouse Afterschool Program
The Clay Madsen Recreation Center’s Kid’s Clubhouse Afterschool Program provides activities that will make lasting memories for your child. The programs features arts and crafts, cooking, games and more. All activities are based on weekly themes from “Blasting off Back to School” to “Fall into Fall” to “Movin’ and Groovin’ into Summer.”
The Kids’ Clubhouse will provide transportation from Voigt, Callison, Gattis, Blackland Prairie and Forest Creek Elementary Schools. If your child attends another school, and you can provide transportation, they are welcome to be a part of the Kids Clubhouse program.
All registrations for the Kids’ Clubhouse Program will take place at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center Administration Office, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Seasonal Camps
Thanksgiving Camp
Gobble up some fun at our Thanksgiving camp! Every day at camp is a new adventure. The daily adventures will be filled with indoor and outdoor games, sports, cooking, arts and crafts, and field trips! Please bring a sack lunch and water bottle daily. Morning and afternoon snack is provided. For ages 5-12 years.
This program operates Monday-Wednesday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Kinningham House, during the established Round Rock School District Thanksgiving Week.
Holiday Break Camp
Join us this winter for some exciting holiday fun! From sports activities, arts and crafts, field trips and much more! Each day has a special theme, so gear up and get ready. You won’t want to miss out on all of the surprises! Please bring a sack lunch and water bottle daily. Morning an afternoon snack is provided. For ages 5-12 years.

Duo Quest Spring Break Camp
Spring into a week of camp with us! This camp will offer a week full of games, field trips, sports, arts and crafts, and loads of fun. Campers must bring a sack lunch each day. Morning and afternoon snack is provided. For ages 5-12 years.Spring into action at our Duo Quest style Spring Break Camp! Every day is an opportunity to fire up bodies and minds. Children will participate in daily activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, field trips, and instructional S.T.E.A.M. classes. Please bring a sack lunch and water bottle daily. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. For ages 5-12 years.
