Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is hosting the first ever Howl-O-Ween Pet Festival from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, October 26. The public can come participate in different contests including: owner-pet look alike, best pet costume, scariest pet costume and best trick contests. Lots of door prizes will be given out, too!
October is also Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month. Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will give a $25 discount on all shelter dogs. Each dog will have an adoption fee of just $60. Adoption fees cover basic vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, and a microchip. In addition, for dogs it will include heartworm screening.
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The shelter is located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown. To reach the shelter from IH-35, take Exit 259 and go east two miles. The shelter is located on the north side of the road just east of FM 1460.
