Bulk trash pick up for Spring Clean Up Week

Annual Spring Clean Up Week

Time to clean the clutter from around the house and dispose of those hazardous chemicals properly!

Round Rock's residential bulk trash pick up will occur during the week of Monday, April 16 through Friday, April 20.  

Residents may place large bulky items out with normal trash on regularly scheduled pick up days. Bulky items include

  • Scrap metal
  • Lumber
  • Furniture
  • Mattresses
  • Appliances that do not contain Freon. 

All materials should be placed neatly at the curb.  There will be quantity restrictions

Please call Round Rock Refuse at (512) 255-4980 for details.  Due to the large amounts of material expected, some items may not be picked on the scheduled garbage day.

Excluded items
Items that should not be placed by the curb include televisions, computers, FREON appliances, automotive products or household chemicals.  These items WILL NOT be picked up.  See recyclable options for these materials

Please also note that tree limbs, brush piles and demolition/construction debris will not be picked up. Tree trimmings should be taken to the Brush Recycling Center located at 310 Deepwood Drive. No fee for Round Rock residents (with water bill and drivers license) with less than two cubic yards.  Fees apply to larger loads and all non-residents.  For more information please call (512) 218-5540.

Bulk items such as washers, dryers, hot water heaters picked up at curbside ARE NOT recycled – See recycling options.  Non-freon appliances are accepted daily at the Deepwood Recycling Center.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection on April 21
The City of Round Rock will end the 2012 Spring Clean-Up Week by having a Household Hazardous Waste Collection from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 21, rain or shine, at the Drop Off Recycling Center located at 310 Deepwood Drive. 

City of Round Rock residents can bring their left over paint, pesticides, fertilizers, stain and home chemicals. Only residential waste in quantities of 25 gallons or less will be accepted.  Contractor/business waste will not be accepted.

Please bring a current City of Round Rock water bill for proof of eligibility

Collection events also occur the 1st Wednesday of every month.
