The Hill Country Bible Church of Round Rock presents a Battle of the Bands from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at Old Settlers Park at Lakeview Pavillion. The event will benefit victims of the recent fires in Bastrop.

The competition is open to all middle school and high school students. Entry requires a donated item.

Prizes include a Squire Bullet Stratocaster guitar, 6 hours of studio time at Guitar Center and othe prizes.

Students with musical interests are encouraged to compete. Stage and sound equipment is provided.
