Hershey presents track and field games for ages 9 through 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Round Rock High School.
Hershey's Track & Field Games is the largest youth activity program of its kind in North America. It provides children ages 9-14 with an entry point to sport and recreation through running, jumping and throwing.
Lisa Wolfe, a local certified American Council on Exercise (ACE) trainer from the CHASCO Family YMCA in Round Rock, will lead all attendees in a family-friendly dance activity called the Moderation Nation Batuka Dance. Participants can also take part in nutrition education with a registered dietitian.
All attendees are encouraged to bring worn-out athletic shoes for the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Drive. The Nike Reuse-A Shoe program creates new playgrounds and recreational surfaces out of recycled shoes.
Moderation Nation is a national consumer initiative sponsored by the Hershey Center for Health and Nutrition and supported, in part, through collaboration with the American Dietetic Association and ACE.
There is no cost to attend this event.
