The Round Rock Public Library hosts a Classic Film Night program this month at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10.
Join us once a month for a screening of a classic film and popcorn.
This month's feature film is a tie-in to Black History Month as Round Rock honors African American veterans.
We will will be showing the 1989, award winning film, Glory, based on one of the first formal all African American volunteer units, the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. This Civil War film is told from the point of view of its commanding officer, Robert Gould Shaw, played by Matthew Broderick. Also starring are Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman.
