The Citizens Police Academy (CPA) is an informative learning process that provides an opportunity for citizens to receive 11 weeks of classroom training and field instruction regarding varying officer responsibilities. CPA attendees are familiarized with some of the procedures and techniques used by officers in a range of scenarios.
One of our many continued efforts is to develop citizen awareness and understanding of the role of law enforcement, the Round Rock Police Department offers the CPA class for residents of all backgrounds and occupations.
Class attendees receive information and instruction about our Officer Selection process, Officer training and duties, emergency-vehicle driver training, investigative skills, firearms training, in addition to SWAT and K-9 demonstrations.
The Citizen Police Academy is an example of the continued successes of the partnership between the Round Rock Police and the community in which we serve.
Classes will be held every Tuesday from 7P-10P from February 12, 2013- April 23, 2013
