The Round Rock Public Library presents Seed Starting as part of its gardening instruction classes at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.

Can't find the exact plant you want to grow? Can't make it to the local nursery in time to beat the crowd to get that first shipment of tomatoes? You may be surprised at how easy it can be to start your own veggies for the best spring crop you've ever had.

Enjoy a new heirloom cucumber, or try a new tomato. Or plant those seeds Grandma grew every year in her garden. 

Come join us at the library to learn how a little planning, a sunny spot, and a tiny seed can come together for a head start on your spring gardening season.  Be ready for tomato season: if you want to start them indoors, they should be planted in early January!
