The Round Rock Fire Department is made up of professional men and women dedicated to your safety and quality of life. We are members of your community, neighbors and friends who are here to ensure that you and your property are protected from harm. We are able to do this by providing exceptional service and striving to meet internal and external goals. We are 129 individuals who work as a team to operate seven fire stations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Fire Chief
Fire Chief David Coatney is responsible for overall management and strategic planning for the department.
Fire Suppression
Seven fire stations are primarily responsible for fire suppression for all structural, vehicle, grass, dumpster, and other fires within the City of Round Rock.
Fire Prevention
The Fire Prevention Division is responsible for public education, fire safety inspections, fire and arson investigations and emergency management.
Fire Support Services
The Support Service Division is responsible for asset management within the department.
Safety and Training
The Safety and Training division plans, coordinates and directs all departmental safety and training programs.
