The Round Rock Public Library is happy to consider suggestions for items to add to our collection.

First, please search the Library Catalog to verify that the title is not owned by RRPL. If the title is not in our catalog, please fill out the appropriate purchase suggestion form.

We will fill purchase suggestions which meet our Collection Development Criteria, if funds are available. You will be notified within one week if the suggested item will not be ordered. Otherwise, please check the Library Catalog starting approximately two weeks after the item is ordered, according to our ordering schedule. (Please allow four to six weeks for paperback items, as they may need to be bound, and for audio/visual items.)  At that time, you may place a request on your book as soon as it is in an “in processing” status, and you will be notified when it is ready to be picked up after approximately two business days. Suggestions will only be honored from Round Rock Public Library card holders.  Please limit suggestions to five per month.

Adult Fiction – includes books and audio books for adult fiction, mystery, romance, science fiction, western, and large print collections.

Adult Non-Fiction, DVDs, & Music CDs – includes Adult non-fiction books, audio books, graphic novels, DVD’s, and music CD’s.  This category also includes foreign language materials for adults.  If you are not sure which category your suggestion falls under, please choose this one, and we’ll get your suggestion to the right person.

Youth Materials – includes all books, audio books, music CD’s, DVD’s, graphic novels, foreign language materials, etc. for children from birth up to and including teens.
