It’s good to be a kid in Round Rock. The City of Round Rock has many programs for children and their families.

Parks and Recreation
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department offers children programs, and special events. Families are invited to attend Christmas Family Night  on December 12, and participate in numerous programs throughout the year with Parks and Recreation. If you don't have a program guide, visit www.roundrockrecreation.com and browse all the programs we offer.

Birthday Pool Parties
If you have a birthday in the middle of the winter season but want a pool party.... don't worry. The indoor pool at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center is available for a splashing party anytime of the year. Party rental fee includes use of a 24'*19' room for 1 1/2 hours and use of the pool from noon - 3 pm on either a Saturday or a Sunday. For more information call 512-218-3220.

The Round Rock Public Library has a wonderful Children’s Department with activities and programs for kids of all ages. Some of their kids programs include:

Police Department
The Round Rock Police Department's Police Explorer Program introduces young men and women to the police profession and acquaints them with the nature and complexity of law enforcement.

Stormwater Program
Teaching kids to be environmentally sensitive to the world around them and understanding the importance of being a good steward of the environment is a goal of the City's Stormwater Program. Learn more about doing your part to protect our streams and waterways.
