FAQ – eVanced Online Reading Logs
Q: How do I register my child for the Summer Reading Program online?
A: Follow this link to the Summer Reading online log-in webpage. Find the appropriate program and click on the “Sign Me Up” button.
- Birth through age 11 -- Fizz, Boom, Read!
- Ages 12-18 -- Spark a Reaction
Q : Can I register all of my children under one account?
A: For the Fizz, Boom, Read program (ages birth through age 11), you can register more than one child under the same username and password. Just click “Add Member” after registering and logging into the first child’s account.
This option is not available for the teen Spark a Reaction program.
Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
A: To retrieve your password, click on the “Forgot Your Log in Info?” button. Your password will be e-mailed to the e-mail address you provided when registering.
Q: Do I need to print out my reading log?
A: No, the volunteers and staff will be able to look up your reading progress from the online summer reading program.
Q: Do I have to submit a book review?
A: No. We are only counting days. If you would like submit reviews, you are welcome to do so, but they are optional.
Q: Why is my book review not showing up?
A: All book reviews must be approved by staff before being placed on the public website. Please check back in a few days.
Q: Where is the “Sign Me Up” button for the Advanced Summer Reader Club program?
A: The Advanced Summer Reader Club is for children in the Fizz, Boom, Read program who read over 40 days. Registration is conducted by library staff and volunteers only. When you come into the library to receive your 40-day prize, you may ask to be transferred into the Advanced Summer Reader Club. Your username and password will remain the same.
Q: Where can I get help using or registering for the online logs?
A: Our teen volunteers will be available during regular summer hours to help with questions.
