Development Survey

The Development Services Office (DSO), part of the City's Planning Department, streamlines and consolidates the development review process.

The DSO is a key element of the City's Development Philosophy, which emphasizes customer service to facilitate the timely review and approval of projects. In short, to Make It Happen.

“Making It Happen” is more than a phrase.  It’s a way of thinking.  It’s a way of reacting.  It’s a philosophy that the Round Rock City Council has charged the Development Services Office to adhere to.

In 2011, the DSO was established with the idea that development have clarity and quality; that we can strive for value in our community to better serve our citizens.

The DSO staff believe development is more than permits.  It’s bigger than schedules or inspections or process.  Development should be about collaboration.  You as the Applicant are in the unique position to create something that will forever change the landscape of the City of Round Rock.

We pride ourselves on ensuring your project is handled in a professional, timely, consistent, and accurate manner. Our goal is to build a partnership with you and your consultants. We want your project to succeed and we’ll do our very best to ensure that happens.

Our Development Permits and Applications provides information on submittal schedules, applications, fees, and specifications, but we are always available to answer any questions you may have.

We are collaborators.  We are problem solvers.  We are the DSO.

DSO staff: (l to r) Kamie Fitzgerald, planning tech; Laton Carr, engineer; Aneil Naik, development services manager; David Bost, senior planner; and Aimee Chavez, engineering assistant
