In order to qualify for the program the candidate must meet the following:

  1. Applicant must meet all Round Rock Police hiring requirements.
  2. Must be a licensed peace officer in the State of Texas or show proof of enrollment in the “Texas Supplemental Peace Officer Course” through TCLEOSE at the time of application.  If you are not a licensed peace officer in the State of Texas, you must have obtained your license no later than the date of your final oral board with the department.  These dates will vary.

Program Guidelines:

  • Attend the Round Rock Police Orientation Session for 8 weeks. 
  • Must complete the Round Rock Police Department’s Field Training Program.

Applicants must successfully complete the hiring process to qualify for Certified Police Officer.
