Any questions regarding sex offender registration should contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (512) 218-6668 or e-mail.
How do I find out if a sex offender lives in my neighborhood?
How often is the sex offenders registration updated?
The sex offenders registration PDF is updated once a month; however, any sex offender currently convicted, transferred from another state or released from prison will not be posted up to 45 days.
Does the City offer swimming lessons?
The Parks and Recreation Department offers swimming lessons for children and adults year round.
How much does a crime report for a neighborhood cost?
If you need a hard copy of a Neighborhood Crime Report, all reports cost $3 whether you come in person to the Police Department or request it by mail. We cannot fax reports.
I am thinking of buying a new home. How can I find out how many times the Police were called to homes on the street?
You can find monthly reports on Neighborhood Crime statistics in PDF on this site. You may obtain a copy of the calls for service by coming to the Police Department main lobby or request this information in writing. You will receive what is public information with a fee of $3 per street.
What can I do if my application for a special event/block party street closure permit is denied?
If the City Manager does not issue the Permit, the Applicant may appeal the denial to the City Council by filing a notice of appeal with the City Clerk within five (5) days after receiving the notice of denial. The City Council shall then hear the appeal as soon as practicable (usually the next regularly schedule Council meeting) and its decision is final.

What are the holidays for garbage pick-up?
The City of Round Rock contracts with Round Rock Refuse to provide garbage and recycling pick-up. Holidays are Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day and the schedule depends on what day they occur. Call 255-4980 with questions.

The City of Round Rock is not affiliated with the Old Settlers Association that owns the Old Settlers Tabernacle Building. Call 388-1733 for information.

How can I find a street that’s so new it isn’t on commercial maps?
Round Rock City View is an Interactive Mapping System (IMS) that makes city geographic information available through any internet browser. This information is continually updated, and streets can be located with the Find (binoculars icon) or Locate Address (envelope icon) functions.

Restraining orders are considered civil matters, you will need to contact an attorney or a legal aid office.

Yes. Per Ordinance number 11.424 (d) of the Code Book, one garage sale or other similar activity is allowed every 6 months.
