How can I obtain a DVD or VHS tape of a City Council meeting?
Make an open records request to obtain a copy of a City Council meeting. Cost will vary. Council meetings can also be viewed online at Round Rock Replay.
Who is my Councilmember?
The Mayor and Council are elected At Large. The City of Round Rock does not have Single Member Districts
When and where are the City Council meetings held?
The City Council meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 221 E Main Street. Meetings start at 7 p.m. See Upcoming Council Meetings for schedule.
Are the City Council meetings televised?
Yes, they are televised live on Channel 10 on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. See Channel 10 page for replay schedule.
How can I obtain the City Council Agenda?
You can download the City Council agendas and minutes in PDF from the City's Document Downloads. For older agendas, call the City Secretary’s office at 218-5404. Agendas are posted two days before the meeting. Minutes must be approved by the Council before they are posted.
When are the City Council Meetings replayed on Channel 10?
You may address the City Council during the Citizen’s Communications section of the agenda. All comments are limited to 3 minutes. In order to be recognized during the Citizen’s Communications, an “Appearance Before the City Council” card must be completed and placed in the designated box at the back of the Council Chambers. Please note that if the matter you wish to discuss is not on the agenda, you may prefer to discuss the matter with the City Manager’s office so that necessary facts can be gathered and the matter may be placed on the agenda for a future City Council meeting. Matters or requests not appearing on the agenda may not be acted upon.
Is there a filing fee to run for City Council?
Yes. Candidates for City Council shall pay a filing fee of $50 or submit a petition in lieu of the filing fee (25 signatures needed).
