We are required by law to advertise two times within a two week period in the local newspaper, which is the Round Rock Leader. For greater coverage, we may also advertise in the Austin American Statesman. Bid notices are normally advertised in the Saturday newspaper.

Who approves historic "overlay" zoning?
In order for historic overlay zoning to be established, the Planning and Zoning Commission must approve and recommend the designation. The City Council will then hold a public hearing. A majority vote by both agencies is required to approve the historic designation.
