Yes, the Allen R. Baca Center for Senior and Community Activities has many programs for seniors.
Does Round Rock have crisis center?
Williamson Country Crisis Center provides assistance to victims of family violence and sexual assault.

Does Round Rock offer curbside recycling?
Round Rock Refuse offers curbside recycling to residential customers for $4 per month. Curbside pick-up is once a week. Call Round Rock Refuse at 255-4980 for information.
Does Round Rock provide bus service?
The City of Round Rock contracts with the Capital Area Rural Transit System (CARTS) to offer bus services. Call 478-RIDE to schedule a pick up. All CARTS schedules and general information can be found at www.rideCARTS.com. You must arrange a pick-up at least four hours in advance.
Does the City of Round Rock have a public access channel?
No, the City of Round Rock shares a cable access channel on Time Warner Cable Channel 10 with the Round Rock Independent School District but it is not a public access channel. The City controls the programming from noon to midnight. It is used only for government related information and events.
Does the City of Round Rock require a business license?
No, the City of Round Rock does not require a business license. Individuals should contact the Planning Department to make sure their business is in the correct zoning district and the Building Inspection Division if they are going into an existing building.

For state and county business licenses, contact the State Comptrollers Office (1-800-252-1381) and the County Court House for DBA (doing business as) (512-930-4300).
Does the City offer swimming lessons?
The Parks and Recreation Department offers swimming lessons for children and adults year round.
How and where do I get a library card? Do I have to have a Texas driver's license?
You can get a library card at the circulation desk at the Round Rock Public Library. Free for residents living within the Round Rock city limits and $25 for nonresidents (single member card) or $40 (family card). You need a current Texas drivers license or a utility bill, etc. (to verify your current address). See Library Cards and Fines for details.
How can I become a firefighter?
For information about employment with the Round Rock Fire Department, check out Employment under the Fire Department on the City’s web site or call (512) 218-6631. Also, check out the Human Resources Department.
How can I compliment a Police Officer or Police Employee?
You may contact the Round Rock Police Department’s Internal Affairs Office by calling (512) 218-5535.
How can I find a street that’s so new it isn’t on commercial maps?
Round Rock City View is an Interactive Mapping System (IMS) that makes city geographic information available through any internet browser. This information is continually updated, and streets can be located with the Find (binoculars icon) or Locate Address (envelope icon) functions.
How can I find out about city development and growth information?
When a developer brings a proposal before the Planning & Zoning Commission or the City Council, the meeting and agenda are advertised in the Round Rock Leader and on the City's web site (check Upcoming Meetings). These meetings are open to the public, and usually encourage public input regarding the project. Meetings are also broadcast live on cable channel 10.
How can I get a restraining order?
Restraining orders are considered civil matters, you will need to contact an attorney or a legal aid office.
How can I obtain a copy of my criminal record?
Criminal Records may be obtained from the Texas Department of Public Safety, P.O. Box 4142, Austin, TX 78765.  The telephone number is (512) 424-7252. They are not available anywhere else.
How can I obtain a DVD or VHS tape of a City Council meeting?
Make an open records request to obtain a copy of a City Council meeting. Cost will vary. Council meetings can also be viewed online at Round Rock Replay.
How can I obtain the City Council Agenda?
You can download the City Council agendas and minutes in PDF from the City's Document Downloads. For older agendas, call the City Secretary’s office at 218-5404. Agendas are posted two days before the meeting. Minutes must be approved by the Council before they are posted.
How can I schedule a tour of a fire station, fire truck or a firefighter at my function?
Call Central Fire Station at least three weeks in advance at (512) 218-6631 or 218-5591.
How can I speak in front of the City Council?
You may address the City Council during the Citizen’s Communications section of the agenda. All comments are limited to 3 minutes. In order to be recognized during the Citizen’s Communications, an “Appearance Before the City Council” card must be completed and placed in the designated box at the back of the Council Chambers. Please note that if the matter you wish to discuss is not on the agenda, you may prefer to discuss the matter with the City Manager’s office so that necessary facts can be gathered and the matter may be placed on the agenda for a future City Council meeting. Matters or requests not appearing on the agenda may not be acted upon.
How do I arrange a building inspection?
Once your building permit is issued you will be given paperwork explaining how to call into the automated inspection request system and request an inspection. If the permit was issued for a gas leak repair or emergency electrical service repair, the Building Inspection Division will dispatch an inspector once we are notified that the work has been completed.
How do I contact the City of Round Rock Purchasing Department?
The main phone number for the Purchasing Department is (512) 671-2861, fax (512) 218-7028. For more detailed information about contacting specific Purchasing Department employees, please refer to the Staff Directory.
How do I find an adopted Ordinance, Agreement, or Resolution?
Contact the City Secretary’s office at 218-5404 for the most up-to-date ordinances. The Code of Ordinances is posted on-line in PDF, but it is updated only twice a year.

How do I find out if I have an overdue item from the library?
Use the Online Catalog. Click "My Account" and enter your library card bar code numbers. Click "Items Out" to view the items that you checked out with the due date. If you have problems accessing our catalog, you may also call the Library Circulation Desk at 218-7001.
How do I find out if my pet was impounded?
If your dog or cat is wearing a pet tag, we will contact you and let you know it was impounded. Otherwise contact the Animal Control office at 218-5500 or the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter.
