Texas-style Race Day Activities

Arrive early to warm up, get your bearings and get ready to race by warming up in the Dell Diamond Parking Lot. Check in at the registration table if you haven't already picked up your event packet and pick up your chip timing device so you're ready to go when the race starts.

While getting ready to go, enjoy complimentary drinks, Clif Bars and pre-race fruit.

After your race, be sure to cheer in all your friends as they complete the course. Texas Road Rash staff will retrieve your chip timing device and then you can visit vendor booths or just hang out. The awards ceremony begins once everyone completes their skate, so if you finish early go ahead and sit in the picnic benches under the trees and enjoy some Texas barbecue sandwiches with all the fixin's, potato salad, beans and cookies,  complimentary adult beverages and sodas while listening to music. Visit our vendor booth area.

The Awards Ceremony will begin once every skater has completed the race. Once we cheer the last person in, medallions are given to first, second and third place in each age division for both the half marathon and the full marathon skate. First place winners will receive an offical Pyro Apparel Texas Road Rash jacket. All event participants are eligible for door prizes and we will take our annual Texas Road Rash photo- a chance for you to show off any scrapes you might've gotten along the way, because we know its just part of the sport!

The Course is a smooth, closed multiple looped course with both start and finish in Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The course starts by the Dell Diamond and continues North on Harrell Parkway. The first road to the right takes skaters around the Baseball, Softball and Football Fields. The next right hand turn is at TC Oates and heads towards CR 122. Skaters will make another right turn onto Red Bud Lane (CR 122) and head south towards Hwy 79 and complete the loop back into the park. Map of Course The course is sweeped the morning of the event to eliminate gravel and any obstacles. City of Round Rock staff and police maintain the course throughout the race for safety.

The half marathon participants will loop the course 3 times and Full Marathoners will loop the course 6 times. On the final lap, skaters will cross the finish line through the finishing chute.
