Animal Shelter pets of the week

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter presents the following featured pets for the week of Nov. 9.

Marigold
Domestic Short Hair Mix
Marigold is a precious calico kitten with white, tan, and black patches. She is 1 year old and weighs approximately 8 pounds. She has a beautiful inviting face and soft fur.

Patrick
Basset Hound Mix
Patrick is a 1-year-old, neutered male. This big dog is surprisingly calm, weighs 60 pounds, and has a black and brown coat. His brother who was housed at the shelter too has already been adopted, so to help Patrick find a good home as well his adoption fee has been reduced to $25.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open from 12 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, from to 12 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

The shelter is located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown. Adoption fees are $85 which covers basic vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, and a microchip. In addition, for dogs it will include heartworm screening and for cats FIV/FeLV testing. To reach the shelter from IH-35, take Exit 259 and go east two miles. The shelter is located on the north side of the road just east of FM 1460. For more information, call 943-3322.
