Quit smoking with help from the County Health District
Struggling to quit smoking? The Williamson County and Cities Health District is now offering tobacco cessation services by appointment at its Public Health centers in Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, and Taylor.
Appointments in August will be free of charge. Beginning in September, there will be a small fee for this service.
These appointments will be for patients who would like to stop using any tobacco products, such as cigarettes, chew, cigars or e-cigarettes. The appointment will include an assessment of their current tobacco use, patient education on risks related to tobacco use, development of a plan for the patient to stop smoking, prescriptions if needed, and referral to a class or support group if desired.
All clients are accepted –whether they have health insurance or not.
