City to allow contractor to work extended hours Saturday on A.W. Grimes Boulevard bridge repair
Because of delays due to the inclement weather, the City will allow a contractor working on repairs to the A.W. Grimes Boulevard bridge over Brushy Creek to work longer hours than normally allowed this Saturday, Feb. 8.
The contractor will grind and make surface repairs to the bridge from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Our regular allowable work hours on a Saturday are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This work has become necessary to provide better response times for the Fire Department. The City is making this one time allowance so the contractor can finish the work on time. The required closures are one or two lanes at a time. In no case will there be a complete closure in either direction.
