Round Rock firefighters, police raise $2,700 for family of 'Super Kai'
Round Rock firefighters and police raised more than $2,700 from a taco sale Thursday, Jan. 16, to help a local family struggling to pay bills for their son with severe medical needs.
Careese Vieregge, the mom of 2-year-old “Super Kai,” has been utilizing crowdfunding sites to raise money for a special wheelchair and other needs. Round Rock firefighters saw a story KEYE did on the family and decided to pitch in to help.
