City offers new rainwater harvesting rebate

In June, the City of Round Rock begins a new rebate program for rainwater collection.

With this program, the City offers a rebate on rainwater harvesting, based upon the amount of storage capacity. The rebate amount is $0.50 per gallon of water storage, with a maximum rebate amount of $250 per year, per water account.

To qualify for the rebate, the rainwater collection containers must be new, made specifically for rainwater collection, and not purchased from any prior City of Round Rock event, sale, or give-away.

To apply, simply submit an application and purchase receipt. You will be contacted for a final inspection. Please read the application to find the complete details.

The rainwater harvesting rebate will end on September 15, or whenever funds are expended.

For questions, contact Jessica Woods by email or call 512-671-2872.
