Frog Design presents idea for gondolas to move people in urban areas

The Round Rock City Council hosted a presentation Thursday on an innovative concept for mass transit. The idea to use gondolas as a transit alternative in Central Texas was first put forth by Michael McDaniel and Frog Design in Austin.
Mayor Alan McGraw, who serves on the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organizationâ€™s (CAMPO) Transit Working Group, invited McDaniel to share the concept at a Council work session. CAMPOâ€™s Transit Working Group is charged to â€śevaluate and provide input toward a regional high capacity transit plan for Central Texas and explore how its various components work as a system to fulfill the regionâ€™s transportation and future growth needs.â€ť
