Monday Music on Main Street debuts Oct. 1

The City of Round Rock invites you to wind down from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Prete Main Street Plaza every Monday in October. Pick your favorite genre of music or come try something new, this free music series is available to all. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Visit Facebook.com/roundrock for updates.

Monday, Oct. 1 – My Buddy Todd is a Roots Blues project complete with slinky slide guitar, blues harp, big drums, and fierce vocals. Guaranteed head bobbing, grooving and big smiles by a displaced Yankee who's been southern-fried.

Monday, Oct. 8 – Matt Smith’s World Trio offers Caribbean flavor with Mexican favor. Big sexy beats, bass lines so sweet and smoky guitar meet downtown saxophone sophistication and greasy finger licking stories of life loved and love lived.

Monday, Oct. 15 – The Siekers played Bluegrass in Europe for several decades before moving to Texas to create their own sound influenced by Texas fiddlin’ and songwriting. Enjoy original material, gospel favorite and songs written by Texas songwriters in bluegrass style.

Monday, Oct. 22 – Ray Prim is a Singer Soulwriter based in Austin. His music takes you back to the days when songs were inspiring, meaningful and thought provoking. His tunes are melody-based short stories that anyone can related to and identify with. It only takes one of his many songs to be instantly hooked.

Monday, Oct. 29 – The classy and sassy Austin Piazzolla Quintet specializes in the music of the late Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla. The band continues in the Nuevo Tango tradition with unique arrangements of Piazzolla’s classic compositions, breathtaking original compositions, and talented improvisation.
