New crime reporting, tracking website temporarily taken offline
The Round Rock Police Department's new Police-to-Citizen (P2C) website has been temporarily taken off line to resolve difficulties that were discovered after the system went live on Tuesday.
When fully functional, the system will provide an unrivaled level of interactivity between the citizens and their police department.
On the P2C website, p2c.roundrocktexas.gov, individuals will be able to:
- Search for Events by Name, Date, Location
- Report a non-emergency Incident online
- Get a Crash Report
- See Round Rock Arrests
- Review the most-wanted persons list
The police records obtainable through P2C are filtered and do not contain sensitive data. If a citizen requires this information, the RRPD Records Division is open to the public during normal business hours.
P2C has an online reporting feature designed for incidents that require police assistance but do not constitute an emergency.
Examples of non-emergency incidents that may be submitted using P2C:
- Burglary of a Building, Residence or Vehicle (not in progress)
- Theft (not in progress)
- Lost or Found Property
- Criminal Mischief
- Graffiti
- Illegal Dumping
The Police-to-Citizen website has other functions as well, including recent arrests and a most wanted list. Events may be searched and viewed from the P2C main page if you have a name, date or location.
