Dedication plaques restored to downtown lamp posts
Plaques honor residents for contributions to the community

Dedication plaques celebrating Round Rock residents’ contributions to the community have recently been restored to seven downtown street lamps.
The plaques were made as a fundraiser for the downtown brick sidewalks, street trees and lamp posts that were installed when the Commercial Historic District was established in 1983. Groups and families purchased the plaques to memorialize founding and influential Round Rock residents for their contributions to the community, and the plaques were affixed to seven of the new lampposts.
The lampposts were later replaced, and the dedication plaques have recently been re-mounted on the replacement posts. You can read the text of the plaques online, or see them in person on your next trip to the historic district.
