Round Rock police have arrested and charged both suspects with committing the city's 2nd bank robbery of 2011. The crime was committed within four days of the city's first robbery (unrelated).  
 
Emmanuel OBryan Doyle, 25, of Ft. Worth, and Charmus Paul Gaines, 30, of Austin, are being held without bond at the Williamson County jail. Both are charged with aggravated robbery. 
 
At noon on Aug. 29, police responded to a robbery alarm at the Austin Telco Credit Union at 201 Sundance Pkwy. A Round Rock patrol officer arrived within moments of receiving the alarm and intercepted the suspects' vehicle just as Doyle fled the bank to the passenger side of a white Chevrolet SUV, which then sped away from the officer. Doyle failed to secure his door before Gaines' evasive driving efforts ejected him from the vehicle, along with evidence Doyle carried from the bank when spotted by the officer. 
 
Officers apprehended Doyle after a short foot chase. Doyle was treated for a minor injury that he sustained when he fell from the vehicle.  
 
According to bank staff and patrons, two suspects wearing wigs and brandishing handguns entered the bank and ordered everybody to lay on the ground at gunpoint. The suspects went through several teller stations for cash, kicking and pistol-whipping several victims in the face and head during the course of the robbery.  Three victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 
 
According to an arrest affidavit, Doyle confessed to the crime and identified Gaines as his accomplice. The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force --which includes Round Rock police-- arrested Gaines without incident at an unspecified Lakeway residence and booked him into jail late Wednesday evening. 
 
The charges carry a penalty of up to life in prison and a $10,000 fine.
