Development Services Offices merges with Planning Department
New department is called Planning and Development Services
As of April 18, the Development Services Office has merged with the Planning Department. Contact information and location for Development Services in the McConico Building, 301 W. Bagdad Avenue, Suite 140, is unchanged.
The Planning and Development Services Department works to improve the built environment and quality of life in Round Rock by establishing and implementing high standards for new development, and by encouraging maintenance, preservation and reinvestment in older parts of the city.
The Department processes land development applications and provides analyses to the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council to assist them in reviewing land development projects, standards and policies. We also provide data and analyses to promote economic development in the city. Our department helps to improve older parts of the City through historic preservation, enforcing property maintenance requirements and directing reinvestment to underserved areas.
