Bonnie and Clyde's untold story will be shared by all for Round Rock Reads 2011
Be a part of the fifth annual Round Rock Reads! community-wide reading program. This year’s program features Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie & Clyde by Jeff Guinn. Pick up a copy now at the library or buy it at your favorite local bookstore and join us for the following events:
- 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room C -- Documentary film screening of Hunting Bonnie & Clyde. Ice cream and popcorn provided. At 8 p.m., Mike Cox, local author and award winning journalist, will speak on the Texas Rangers. Following the discussion, there will be an opportunity to purchase Mr. Cox's books. He will be available to sign copies.
- 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room C -- Come enjoy our first ever Classic Film Night as we watch the 1967, award-winning film, Bonnie and Clyde, starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. We'll have popcorn.
- 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, Barnes & Noble, La Frontera -- The public is welcome to join the Round Rock New Neighbors Book Discussion of Go Down Together.
Mike Cox is a long-time student of Texas history, a book collector and dealer in rare books. He is the author of a two-volume history of the Texas Rangers and more than a dozen other non-fiction books.
