Genealogy workshops
The Round Rock Public Library and Williamson County
Genealogical Society are hosting two free genealogy events during October:
Genealogy from Scratch
Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010
9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Are you excited about finally starting to research your family history but don’t know what to do first? Some Williamson County Genealogical Society members have been in your shoes, and they can help you. Bring your lunch and beverage; dessert will be provided. This is a demonstration class, not a hands-on computer tutorial. Handouts will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your notebooks or records. Join us in meeting room A.

Genealogy After Hours
Friday, October 22, 2010
6 to 9:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library
On this evening, the library will be open only to genealogy enthusiasts! The evening will include: mini-classes, free access to online genealogy databases, access to our extensive collection of genealogical books and CDs, light refreshments, and door prizes! Members of WCGS will also be available to provide help and answer questions. Join us in Meeting Room C; entrance on Liberty Street.
Both workshops are free, but registration is required. Please call 218-7000 or visit the Round Rock Public Library to register.
