&lt;p&gt;The celebration will include live entertainment provided by Quinns and Junior&amp;#39;s Grill &amp;amp; Icehouse, food and refreshments, vendor booths, plaza light show, surprise entertainment as well as the unveiling of the new interactive water fountain. The festival will also include face painting, FREE ice cream from Maggie Moo&amp;#39;s and a petting zoo with the Round Rock Library. The festivities will lead up to a Movie in the Plaza at dusk featuring Toy Story 3 brought to you by University Federal Credit Union. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You&amp;#39;ve heard of Movies in the Park; well this is Movies in the Plaza! At sundown, Toy Story 3 will be shown on a giant screen in the plaza! Bring your own chairs or find a space in the built-in seating around the plaza. Sit back, relax, and enjoy FREE fun for the entire family at the Main Street Plaza Grand Opening Celebration! &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Round Rock residents identified downtown plaza parks as a priority in the Downtown Master Plan and a number two priority in the Game Plan 2020 Parks and Recreation Master Plan and our Parks Development team has begun work on some exciting new developments. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;City Hall Plaza:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;The first project is a design for the current green space located next to City Hall and the new ArtSpace offices. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Municipal Office Complex (MOC) Plaza:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The second project is the development of the green space behind the McConico Building and next to the Baca Center known as the Municipal Office Complex Plaza. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Downtown Green Plaza:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The third project is the development of the Town Green Space located near the iconic Round Rock Water Tower on Round Rock Avenue. &lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;When completed, the plazas will offer a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The three parks will be connected with pedestrian-friendly streetscapes for all to enjoy. &lt;p&gt;These meetings will be general input meetings in which City staff will discuss the proposed themes and potential amenities of each of the three downtown plazas.&amp;nbsp; City staff will be gathering ideas and input from residents and local business owners to help guide the City in the development of the downtown plazas.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The design charrette will be an opportunity for residents and local business owners to be involved in the actual design of the three plazas.&amp;nbsp;City staff and the design consultants will spend the meeting drawing multiple ideas and design concepts for the three plazas. The charrette format allows the residents and business owners to sit at a table with the design professionals and help them create a design concept for the plazas. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="subtitle"&gt;Concept Design Open House&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;City staff and the design teams will be present at the meeting to present and gather feedback on the proposed design concepts for each of the three plazas. The input gathered at this meeting will result in the development of a final design concept that will be presented to the City Council. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The final design concepts will be presented to the City Council at this meeting. City staff and the design teams will gather feedback from the City Council that will be used to develop the construction plans for the City Hall Plaza and MOC Plaza, as well as the final master plan for the Town Green.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tentative construction schedule is March 2011 to June 2011 for the City Hall Plaza and the Municipal Office Complex Plazas only. No construction funding or timeframe has been established for the Town Green.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
