http://roundrocktexas.gov/cc/blogs/sportscomplex/archive/tags/tennis/Sports+Complex+improvements/default.aspxTags: tennis, Sports Complex improvementsenCommunityServer 2007.1 (Build: 21119.1142)http://roundrocktexas.gov/cc/blogs/sportscomplex/archive/2009/03/05/tennis-building-now-open.aspxThu, 05 Mar 2009 17:30:00 GMT9be1e196-b4dd-4219-b883-7e290dbe3f82:463Terri Waggoner0<p>On March 4, the City of Round Rock hosted the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the Tennis Building at Old Settlers Park.&nbsp;&nbsp;As part of the $18.2 million in renovations to&nbsp;the&nbsp;Sports Complexes at Old Settlers Park, the opening brought out several tennis players eager to go inside and see the new building.</p> <p>Avid tennis player and Former City Councilmember Ted Williamson; Councilmember Rufus Honeycutt; and Rick Atkins, Director of Parks and Recreation cut the ribbon and handed&nbsp;keys to Gwen Kingery, President of&nbsp;the Round Rock Tennis Association for the use of the new facility.</p> <p>The building includes temperature-controlled restrooms and a pro-shop area convenient for hosting and organizing tournaments.&nbsp; The Round Rock Tennis Association celebrated with refreshments as guests toured the new building.
