It is always fun to see the dogs (and people for that matter) &lt;a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/cityofroundrock/sets/72157604330767421/" title="Photos from Dog Depot grand opening"&gt;interacting at our park&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;p&gt;Because of heavy use, Area 3 of the park is closed to allow for new grass to grow in. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket. There will be vendors out there, but feel free to bring your own food. You can register the day of at the recreation center before the race. The 5k benefits the Clay Madsen Recreation Center and will be a fun run down the Greater Lake Creek Trail and A.W. &lt;p&gt;On Sunday, August 16, Texas Country music singer, Paul Eason will be playing at the Round Rock Amphitheatre for the 2009 Round Rock Summer Concert Series. He’s the last of the performers this summer, so come out and enjoy the concert. The time has come for you to register for the Outlaw Trail 100.&amp;nbsp;The Outlaw Trail 100 is a non-competitive cycling tour where cyclists from across Texas ride through Williamson County at their own pace. The tour features 10 mile, 25 mile, 40 mile, 50 mile, 63 mile, 100K and 100 mile loop courses. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You can register the day of at packet pick-up in Old Settlers Park, but this year Parks and Recreation is capping the number of participants at 900. This is a popular event.&amp;nbsp;They&amp;nbsp;have reached and passed this number many times in the past, so registering as soon as possible is a good idea. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;August 16-Sept 7:&amp;nbsp; POOL CLOSED!&lt;br /&gt;August 17-21:&amp;nbsp; MENS &amp;amp; WOMENS RESTROOM/LOCKER ROOMS CLOSED!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;August 28:&amp;nbsp; WEIGHT ROOM CLOSED!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During the week of August 17-21, the Clay Madsen Recreation Center will be installing fans in the meeting room. This project will not cause any closures, but will be a nice improvement. The recreation center will also be installing tile backsplashes behind&amp;nbsp;the water fountains. For this project, certain areas will be closed off while the work is completed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;ALL Clay Madsen Recreation Center members, as of August 16, will be receiving a 15 day membership extension for the maintenance inconveniences. They have recently had the basketball courts at High Country and Veterans Park re-surfaced. Currently, the tennis courts at Old Settlers Parks are being re-surfaced as well and should be finished at the beginning of next week. Then the weekend of the 22 of August the tennis courts at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center will be re-surfaced. &lt;/p&gt;
