Round Rocker: Parks and Recreation 411

Toddler class spotlight: Sportball

Leisure time is important and so is exercise. How does your family exercise together? Do you visit Old Settlers Park? Swim at the pool? Throw a ball in the yard?  If you're running out of ideas, Round Rock Parks and Recreation offers many programs to get your child engaged in exercise from an early age. One of the newer toddler programs is Sportball, a class where children get active and develop a life-long love of sports.  For the smaller child, parents work with their child as they are introduced to 8 sports every week: soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, golf, tennis, hockey and football. Sound like fun? Sportball classes range from age 15-24 months and 2 year olds with parent supervision and on up to 4 1/2 years. Visit roundrockrecreation.com for more information.
