On this past Sunday, Round Rock’s new baseball and softball facility gave a whole new meaning to “take me out to the ball game!” Ninety acres of playing fields were open for business as the first ball was thrown. With covered bleachers, numerous playgrounds, bright lights, green grass, and smooth dirt, the fields at Old Settlers Park are already catching the eyes of baseball players around the nation. Hundreds of baseball players stormed the field after waiting anxiously for the facility’s completion and the kickoff of the Round Rock Baseball League’s inaugural spring season. So, while baseball season is still in full swing, grab your popcorn and cracker jacks and we’ll see you and your family on the field!
