My puppies are doggie park virgins, so I will have to give it a shot on a normal day before I could really give some good feedback on other ideas. I like all of the ideas presented, but I would DEFINITELY love to see a micro-chip event. Thanks! Shelly

We actually already have an event at Old Settlers Park put on by the SPCA called "Barktoberfest" Maybe we can work together!!!

I think it would be great to have a dog talent show held at the dog park. A few prizes and awards can be given away for the dogs with the best tricks.

It's nice to be able to show off your dog and also see what other dogs are doing. Pet owners can socialize and learn how to teach their dog new tricks.

The first thing that comes to mind is a doggie costume contest (probably has not been mentioned because it is almost cliche - but hey sometimes cliche is fun).

It might be fun to do a theme day. For example, the theme could be "Old West", so everyone brings their dogs out in old country garb. There could be some hay bales and maybe some little mini-facades for taking photos in front of...

Nothing too structured because some of our dogs (especially my dog, Steve Martin) just want to run wild and have a little fun.
